Andre Rieu playing Waltzing Matilda!
Well, I've just mastered another aspect of the Internet - YouTube! Some of our friends took their digital camera to Eastland at Ringwood yesterday, to get some pictures of Dutch violinist Andre Rieu, and they managed to capture him on video on their camera (isn't technology amazing!). They put it on to a CD for me to put on my blog and I've been messing around all night trying to upload it directly to the blog, but it just wouldn't work. So, I thought I may as well try this YouTube thing. I've heard enough about it, let's have a look. Easy Peasy!!! Created an account, just like Blogger, selected the video from my PC and away we went! If you want to see it, visit my blog for Andre's Australian fans.

Hi Gina,
Reading about the health care dilemma that's been going on in your part of the world leaves me shaking my head. I read the article which you linked, and it was quite interesting. Hope that it gets people to start calling their elected officials to account for their decisions and actions. I feel so badly for your clients who are going to be the ones to suffer for these questionable decisions. But since most of them don't vote, probably, then I guess they don't count, eh?
Nice picture of you with the article though. And good for you for speaking out.
I was fascinated by the lovely home that your DBIL and DSIL live in. The gingerbread trim on the outside is incredible. Like a wedding cake. I love old houses, and antiques. Such buildings have so much character.
I'm in love with those little bundles of feathers!! Oh, they're so darn cute. I've never seen budgies so young/small. The little green guy trying to hide under Ken's arm is so sweet. And the blue fellow is so pretty. Will you keep them?? Do your adult birds talk???
Andre Rieu shows up often on our PBS stations in specials filmed around Europe. I've seen bits of the shows and everyone seems to enjoy themselves so much, not the least being Mr Rieu himself. I love when a performer enjoys the show as much as the audience. He's coming here in November for a gala performance, with all kinds of special effects, and stuff. Horse drawn carriages, ice skaters, ball room dancers, crystal chandeliers etc. Wish we could afford to go. It would be a magical night.
Cheers Gina. Judy
He is so very talented! I don't get online as much these days, as my spinning and knitting etc. take up alot of time plus my home-keeping. Taking a couple of hours this cloudy morning to come visiting though. Hope you are having a good day!
