Patra's Other Place

I started out with Patra's Place, primarily dedicated to my linen collection and stitching projects. But I kept getting side-tracked, so I decided to create Patra's Other Place for anything not related to embroidery topics. So you now have a choice. If you are interested in me, read this. If you only want to see my linen and stitching, visit Patra's (original) Place! (Please note that by clicking on any of the photos, they will be enlarged to fill your computer screen.)

I was married to Ken for 43 years, but he died in October 2022. So I am now alone with two cats, eight hens, and a few finches and parrots in one aviary.

Front yard - before and after. Well, the top one was taken while the boys were working on it, but it wasn't much different before then - just a big mess! Funny what a difference a day makes to the colours in photos...Notice the colour of our house in the top photo in comparison to the bottom one? The top one is the actual colour. The hedge along the front is going to be cut down to half its present size, so that will make a big difference to the appearance of the property.

I don't understand your pictures. What's the thing that looks like a wooden box in front of the hedge? Is that the street in the front of the photo? You have to understand that my entire understanding of Australian streets is based on Ramsay Street!

Hi ladies, thank you all for your interest in our hacienda! Nicole, Ken and I couldn't get our butts off the couch either; that's why we paid a heap to someone else to do it!
Isabelle - funny how other people see things! The retaining wall does look like a box in the photo! No, it is a treated pine retaining wall, held upright with steel posts. Yes, the grey area at the bottom of the photo is our side of the road.
Maggie - thanks for calling in - I'll reciprocate soon!

Hi Gina,
It looks good. Thanks for sharing. :) It's been too cold to think of anything but keeping warm.
Patty who's catching up on reading and soon will post again. :) Have a great day.
