Walking to soothe a troubled soul.
Knowing I'd been depressed about my job situation for some time, a good friend called me to ask if I'd like to accompany her on a walk along the banks of the Yarra River - something she does often on her own or with friends and family. I accepted her invitation, and here are the photos I took along the way. This was my lovely Friday.
this Moorhen scuttled off to the water as soon as I appeared with my camera.
Above pic shows the junction of the Yarra River and Mullum Mullum Creek - mentioned on the information sign below. It was a sacred site to the Wurundjeri aboriginal tribe.
Above: historic homestead. Below: information sign about it.
Me - feeling totally relaxed after all that walking!

I loved your photos. It's so nice to see landscapes far from home. I hope your long walk helped you feel better. Something will happen on the job front soo
Great photos of your walk along the yarra,Were did you start your walk from Gina?,I hope something pops up on the job front soon for you. I would say possibly in the new year now.... Take good care..

Hi Gina,
I hoped your walk made you feel better. The photos are wonderful. Today, I will have to download and post the some pictures.
It's currently 19 with an icy driveway. We're supposed to get 3 more inches. I really don't mind the snow as I mind the biting cold. Oh well, just want to pop in to say hi and I keep you in my thoughts.
Hugs,
-Patty
Lovely to see some sunshine from the other side of the world.
oooh lovely photos. So Australian...makes me feel a little homesick!!
Lovely, Gina. Reminds me about our walk along the Yarra. Think I'll go and post about my big walk on Monday.
Blessings and bliss
Thank you everyone for your comments - it is so nice to see visitors to our blogs, isn't it! Just a few quick responses: Jeanette, we started off from under the bridge crossing the Yarra at Fitzsimmons Lane. I haven't got around to snapping the local Xmas lights either, but we have a couple of weeks to go, don't we!
Sunshine might LOOK pleasant Isabelle, but the actual heat from the sun while one is walking can be a tad uncomfortable! As you might remember, young Kathie! Still, I think I'd prefer the sun to Patty's snow and ice...brrrrr.
