Patra's Other Place

I started out with Patra's Place, primarily dedicated to my linen collection and stitching projects. But I kept getting side-tracked, so I decided to create Patra's Other Place for anything not related to embroidery topics. So you now have a choice. If you are interested in me, read this. If you only want to see my linen and stitching, visit Patra's (original) Place! (Please note that by clicking on any of the photos, they will be enlarged to fill your computer screen.)

I was married to Ken for 43 years, but he died in October 2022. So I am now alone with two cats, eight hens, and a few finches and parrots in one aviary.

More Baby Budgies.

Barb of Woof Nanny in the U.S. wants to see some more baby budgies. You're in luck, Barb! Our breeding pair hatched another four babies about 4 weeks ago(bringing their total to 16 over the past year), and they are almost ready to leave the nest. Ken brought them out of the aviary last Tuesday, for me to take some photos. Here they are on the old table in our back yard, wide-eyed with wonder at their first glimpse of the world outside of the nesting box!

Ohhhhh, they are so cute! I love the one with the bit of blue but they are all dear. Ken really has the magic touch with them.

Oh my goodness, they are so sweet! If I had my to choose my favorite, I'm not sure I could. Do you train them? I think it's cute when they talk. My mom used to have one that would say "pretty popsicle!"

Oh yes, very sweet!

No, I don't think I do have anything embroidered by my grandmother, though she was a great sewer and knitter in her time. I think she was more a practical needlewoman and made things to be worn.

They are so cute. Thanks for your visit and comments. My printer stillisn't working.
These technical things are great when they work well, and darned frustrating when they don't.I hope you get some rain once you have the tank installed. Take care,
Have a great week ahead. Love, Merle.
